Influence of 1,6-Adipic Acid on the Crystallization Behaviors and Crystal Polymorphic Transformation of Polybutene-1
The composite(PB-1/AA)was prepared by adding 1,6-adipic acid(AA)to polybutene-1(PB-1).This article investigated the crystallization behaviors, crystal polymorphic transformation behaviors, and their mechanisms of PB-1/AA by using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC),polarizing microscopy(POM),and other equipment.Experimental results demonstrate that the addition of AA with a mass fraction of 1%significantly enhances the crystallization temperature and crystal polymorphic transformation rate of PB-1/AA.POM results indicate that the addition of AA loosens the crystal structures of PB-1/AA,the resulting structures are similar to the structures of Type I crystals. The loose structures promote the II-I phase transition.DSC results show that AA increases the supercooling degree, crystallization temperature, and crystallinity of PB-1/AA.AA could also thicken the PB-1/AA crystals during the transformation process, reducing the number of entangled chains and entanglement rings in the amorphous regions of PB-1/AA.Additionally,the data of continuous self-nucleation annealing test(SSA)suggest a certain lattice matching between AA and the Type I crystals of PB-1,accelerating the phase transitions of PB-1/AA.
