Preparation and Properties of Bio-Based Polypentyl Furanodicarboxylate and Its Flexible Films
With the developments of global bioeconomy,bio-based materials have become the new research focus because of their green,low-carbon,environment-friendly and resource-saving characteristics. In this paper,a series of random and flexible polyester materials[polypentyl furanodicarboxylate(PPeF)]were prepared by the melting polymerization.2,5-furanodicarboxylic acid and 1,5-pentanediol from the same biological source were monomers. After the molecular structures were determined by 1 H NMR and FTIR,the film was prepared by the solvent coating method.GPC results show that the number-average molecular weight of PPeF is more than 20 000,and the polydispersity index is 2.0-2.4,indicating the narrow distribution. The TG results show that the initial thermal degradation temperature of PPeF is about 370℃,showing that PPeF has good heat resistance and processability. The XRD results show that PPeF is amorphous. The mechanical test results show that the PPeF film has good gluten extensibility, and its maximum elongation at break can reach 1 764%.As a biodegradable material,PPeF could be applied to modify the brittle bio-based materials.
