Influences of Different Conditions on the Results of Water Vapor Permeability Tests of Biodegradable Plastic Films
Compared with the traditional polyethylene plastic film, the biodegradable plastic film has a higher water vapor permeability. Therefore,it is important to study the factors that affect the water vapor permeability of biodegradable plastic films. In this article, the water vapor permeability of two samples with different thicknesses was measured at different weighing time intervals.Using the testing methods specified in GB/T 35795-2017 Water Vapor Permeability Test Index of Fully Biodegradable Agricultural Floor Covering Films and GB/T1037-2021 Determination of Water Vapor Permeability of Plastic Films and Sheets-Cup Weight Gain and Loss Method, the influences of weighing time interval on water vapor permeability were studied using the constant temperature and humidity box weight gain method. The results show that the thickness has an impact on the water vapor permeability of the plastic film, and as the thickness increases, the water vapor permeability decreases.Meanwhile,in the process of water vapor permeability testing, the weighing time interval affects the accuracy of the results.Under the premise that the total moisture absorption of desiccants in GB/T 1037-2021 does not exceed 10%,the weighing time interval is negatively correlated with the final converted result.
