O-like shell complex plastic parts have three vertical composite undercuts on the same side,each of them contains two undercuts whose pulling direction is 90°,four oblique barbs are on the back,two undercuts which are deep up to 35.561 5 mm are on the side,and six undercuts are on four sides.In view of these structural difficulties in the mold design,this paper aimed to solve the problem of how to realize multiple side core-pulling on the same side with vertical embedded composite undercuts,and the design of simultaneously core-pulling for oblique barbs,long distance core-pulling and compound gating system with hot sprue and cold runners were researched.The composite core-pulling method by inclined core+L-block was innovatively put forward to successfully realize four-time side core-pulling for vertical embedded composite undercuts with only one-time die opening.Then angle lifter synchronous core-pulling mechanism was successfully designed to realize the simultaneously core-pulling for four oblique barbs and inner undercuts.The side core-pulling for two long undercuts was successfully achieved by using cylinders,the core-pulling of six undercuts on four sides was successfully achieved by inclined guide pin core-pulling mechanism.With the design of four kinds of core-pulling mechanism,the demoulding of product with complex undercuts was realized by one-time die opening.The compound gating system with hot sprue and cold runner with four-point subsurface gate was designed to meet the production requirements.The mold has been put into mass production with reasonable structures and reliable actions,which could meet the production demands.This paper provided a new idea for the design of multiple side core-pulling on the same side with vertical embedded composite undercuts,showing a good reference significance in the field of injection mold design.
