Study on the Influence of Different Response Spectra on the Dynamic Damage Characteristics of Gravity Dams
The rationality of response spectrum is the prerequisite to ensure the accuracy of seismic safety assessment results of gravity dams.In order to study the effect of ground motion synthesized by different response spectra on the dynamic damage characteristics of gravity dams, the seismic waves were synthesized based on the response spectra in《Code for Seismic Design of Hydraulic Buildings》(DL 5073-2000)and《Standard for Seismic Design of Hydraulic Buildings》(GB 51247-2018).The effects of different response spectra on the damage characteristics of Koyna dam are studied from three aspects of damage distribution, displacement of key points and damage energy dissipation. The results show that compared with the response spectrum in the 2000 code, the dam body is damaged more seriously under the action of the 2018 code response spectrum, and the dam body deformation and damage energy consumption are more obvious, which indicates that the seismic calculation based on the 2000 code will exaggerate the safety margin of gravity dams.
