Performance Parameters and Structural Characteristics of Generators at the Nestor Kirchner Presidential Hydroelectric Power Station
The Nestor Kirchner Presidential hydroelectric power station in Argentina is equipped with five Francis turbine-generator units, each rated at 190MW.These units play crucial roles in power generation, peak regulation, and phase modulation in the power system. It is a landmark project for the Belt and Road Initiative in South America. The foreign consulting engineers have different technical parameters and structural requirements for the frequency variation range, rated voltage, slot current,short-circuit ratio, direct axis synchronous reactance, cooling methods, and fire protection schemes of the hydraulic turbine generators compared to domestic standards and practices.By comparing and analyzing relevant domestic and foreign standards and similar hydroelectric power station generator parameters, this paper summarizes and generalizes the performance parameters and structural characteristics of turbine generators, providing a reference for the selection and design of similar hydroelectric power station generators.
