Study on Test Method of Geomembrane Clamping Effect for High Rockfill Dam
In order to reveal the deformation and failure characteristics and mechanism of geomembrane due to the clamping effect under different anchorage structures, this paper developed a clamping effect test apparatus for geomembranes in rockfill dams. The test apparatus can simulate the working conditions of the geomembrane being stretched to different distances due to the clamping effect under different normal stresses, different cushion layers, and different anchoring forms. The apparatus can observe the stretched state of the geomembrane in real-time through non-contact measurement methods such as observation windows and endoscope arrays, without damaging the geomembrane sample or changing the interface characteristics between the geomembrane and the cushion layer. The test apparatus can also conduct structural model simulation tests for various optimization schemes to verify the effectiveness of the fixture effect optimization scheme.
