Design and Application of Bailey Bridges in Qingshanchong Reservoir Project
The Qingshanchong Reservoir is one of the key water source projects in Guizhou Province,serving primarily as a medium-sized water conservancy project primarily for irrigation and water supply.The inlet access bridge of the Project plays a crucial role in installation and transportation of metal structure and electromechanical equipment,characterized by large span and high load-bearing capacity.The Bailey bridge used in the project is composed of lightweight,standardized truss units made of high-strength steel,along with components such as crossbeams,longitudinal beams,deck panels,bridge seats,and connectors.It is easy to install,thus saving construction time.This paper comprehensively discusses the design,construction,testing,acceptance,and documentation of the Bailey bridge in the Qingshanchong Reservoir Project,highlighting its economic benefits and potential for wider application.
