Comprehensive assessment of urban flood resilience in Hubei Province based on multi-source data fusion
[Objective]Flooding is one of the main meteorological disasters in Hubei Province. In order to accelerate the con-struction of resilient cities in Hubei Province and help promote the collaborative development of the province, the level of urban flood resilience in Hubei Province was evaluated.[Methods]We established an evaluation index system of urban flood resilience in Hubei Province from the four dimensions of exposure, sensitivity, adaptability and recovery, adopted G1 combined with EWM to determine the weights of each evaluation index and collected multi-source data from meteorology, remote sensing images, basic geography,socio-economics and other sources to assess urban flood resilience in Hubei Province with the help of GIS technology.[Results]The result indicate that the overall urban flood resilience in Hubei Province is at a medium resilience level.Specifical-ly,the high resilience area is mainly distributed in Shennongjia Forestry District,Yichang and Wuhan, the higher and medium resilience level area is mostly located in Jingmen and West Hubei, the rest of the urban flood resilience level is low, showing that the resilience in the west region is stronger than in the east region.[Conclusion]The resilience assessment method proposed in this paper for fusing multi-source data can accurately and efficiently assess the level of urban flood resilience in the study area, and the research result can provide a reference for Hubei Province to formulate the development of regional flood management and resilient city planning.
