Application of digital twin in urban flood intelligent management——A case study of intelligence water management system in Binjiang district
In view of the difficulties in urban flood prevention and control, such as insufficient sensing accuracy before flood, low response efficiency during flood, and insufficient analysis after flood, the intelligence water management system for Binjiang district is proposed based on digital twin technology, which includes four modules of digital twin data mapping, mathematical model simulation, virtual and real interaction prevention and intelligent service linkage.Combined with monitoring data, the twin data mapping of physical features including topography, surface water, rainwater pipe network, drainage facilities, monitoring equipment, and inundation hot spots is developed.Subsequently, the virtual model of Binjiang district is built. The mutual mapping and interaction between physical and virtual entity during the entire flood occurrence are implemented.A rehearsal of the flood process in Binjiang district is simulated, which realizes the functions of automatic monitoring and warning, and drafting the emergency response plan for flood disaster.Since the system is published online, flood response time in Binjiang district has been reduced by 50%,the drainage efficiency has also been significantly improved, and the number of serious inundation hot spots has been reduced by more than 60%.Collaborative trans-departmental governance can be promoted, and urban flood prevention and control capabilities can be improved.
