Application of"Four Preventions"in flood control for cross-rivers in Middle Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project
To meet the flood control management needs of typical cross-rivers in the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project and ensure flood safety, this study developed a data foundation for Suo River crossing, along with models for flood forecasting, flood evolution, and risk analysis.Using calibration from typical rainfall and flood events during the 2022 and 2023 flood seasons, and based on the analysis of the 2021"7·20"heavy rainfall event in Zhengzhou,a predictive simulation was conducted for Suo River crossing. Results indicate a risk of water obstruction in the aqueduct body of Suo River, posing significant safety concerns for the Middle Route Project.Through in-depth research on the"Four Preventions"application in flood control, the full process of precipitation-runoff-confluence-evolution in cross-rivers of the Middle Route was simulated. These research findings contribute to enhancing the disaster prevention and mitigation capacity of the Middle Route Project, providing valuable reference for flood control applications in cross-rivers along the route.
