Exploration and practice of digital twin irrigation district construction in Qinhan Canal in Ningxia
In order to actively promote the pilot construction of a digital twin irrigation district for Qinhan Canal in Ningxia and continuously improve water supply services and management capabilities,Qinhan Canal Management Office adopted the goals of"safety, practicality, usability, and manageability".Focusing on the principles of"total water control and quota management"the construction followed a demand-oriented approach, emphasizing both functionality and practical use.Building on the existing achievements of water conservancy informatization in the irrigation district,Han Canal was selected as a model channel.Full-element data collection facilities were established to supplement water conditions, project status, agricultural conditions, and meteorological data within the irrigation area.Additionally, the channel system's infrastructure data foundation and historical operational data were improved, leading to the development of Qinhan Canal digital twin application platform. This platform also incorporates full-channel control and hydrodynamic models, achieving a high degree of alignment between digital and physical systems and enabling the"Four Preventions"functions of water resource management. The research explores and practices an end-to-end irrigation and water supply service system from Yellow River to the fields, achieving preliminary success in precise water resource scheduling and the"Four Preventions"for water and drought disaster defense.
