Research and application of key technologies in construction of digital twin for Taipu Gate
The operation and safety management of Taipu Gate have historically relied on manual expertise, lacking theoretical guidance and professional model support. This study focuses on key challenges in water gate scheduling and safety operation. It primarily explores flow prediction in tidal-influenced plain river networks and engineering safety evaluation technologies.A neural network model for flow prediction was trained using water levels and flow rates at critical positions upstream and downstream of Taipu Gate.An evaluation index set was developed to accurately reflect the operational status of both the structure and its equipment.Furthermore,a hierarchical analysis method was employed to establish a safety evaluation model for the equipment. These models were applied to gate scheduling and safety operation management of Taipu Gate.Observational results from actual operations showed that the application of these two models reduced the number of gate adjustments by 40%,while improving adjustment accuracy by 5%.The research outcomes provide valuable references for the integration of digital twin technology into similar gate stations across the country.
