Comprehensive lightning protection design and application for Poyang Lake physical model measurement and control system
Addressing the potential issue of lightning damage to outdoor large-scale river engineering physical model measurement and control systems,and considering the specific layout of measurement and control equipment,a comprehensive lightning protection design scheme incorporating both internal and external lightning protection measures is proposed.Taking Poyang Lake physical model measurement and control system as the application subject,for internal lightning protection,specific protective measures are proposed for the power system and low-voltage signal system of the measurement and control center.For external lightning protection,a simulation analysis of the proportionate distribution of current between power cables and grounding systems when direct lightning strikes outdoor local monitoring boxes equipped with lightning protection devices is conducted.Lightning protection grounding schemes are designed for monitoring terminal devices such as digital water level meters,tailgate controllers,local monitoring boxes in the lake area,cameras,and other equipment,along with grounding and shielding measures for the entire measurement and control system.After the implementation of the comprehensive lightning protection system,the measurement and control system were not subjected to lightning strikes,indicating good lightning protection effects.The comprehensive lightning protection technology significantly enhances the system's overall lightning protection capability,provides solid technical support for the smooth progress of model tests,and holds valuable reference significance for subsequent studies on system lightning protection.
