Urban Expansion,Factor Flow and Rural Revitalization
Based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020,this paper adopts the spatial econometric model to empirically test the impact of urban expansion on rural revitalization and its internal mechanism. The findings are as follows:(1)There is a definite spatial correlation effect in the level of rural revitalization in China regardless of the spatial proximity matrix, geographic distance matrix,or economic distance matrix, showing that rural revitalization is spatially grouped.(2)Rural revitalization is significantly and positively affected by urban expansion, but the extent of the effect varies across regions,a finding reinforced by robustness tests.(3)Further analysis of the internal mechanism shows that factor flow is an important way for urban expansion to promote rural revitalization.
