Environmental effect theory of heterogeneous aggregation of fine sediment and microplastics in estuarine:a review
In recent years, the harm and threat of microplastics pollution to the global ecological environment can-not be ignored.Due to changes in water environment and hydrodynamic conditions,a large number of microplastics will migrate to estuaries with water flow and collide with fine particles and sediment, resulting in heterogeneous ag-gregation and changing their transport behavior significantly, thus affecting the trend of particulate matter and other elements in the environment. In order to further clarify the driving factors, aggregation and transport characteris-tics,mechanism and environmental effects of sediment and microplastics heterogeneous aggregation, this paper combined with recent domestic and foreign research developments, discussed and summarized the driving factors and environmental effects of fine particles sediment and microplastics heterogeneous aggregation in estuaries,en-riched the environmental effects theory of sediment and its aggregates, and extended the theoretical research dimen-sion.An evaluation index system for the environmental effects of heterogeneous aggregation is proposed from the macro, mesoscopic and micro levels. This study is helpful to enrich and deepen the theoretical system of environ-mental sediment and its environmental effects, and can provide theoretical support for strengthening estuarine water environmental management technology and improving the level and ability of water pollution prevention and control.
