Effects of different types of additives on quality of corn straw silage
The purpose of the experiment was to investigate the effects of different additives on the quality of corn straw silage and to find the optimal silage conditions. In this experiment, the straw after harvesting ears of fresh corn of Jingkenuo 2000 were used as silage raw materials.A total of five treatments,T1(0.02‰ Lactobacillus plantarum),T2(2.0%sucrose),T3(0.05‰ cellulase),T4(4%urea),and CK(control group, the same amount of distilled water)were set up,and each treatment was repeated three times.Samples were taken after 60 days at room temperature for sensory evaluation to determine the nutrient composition, fermentation quality and aerobic stability. The results showed that the sensory evaluation of each additive treatment group was better than that of CK.The pH value of each additive treatment group was significantly lower than that of CK(P<0.05),and the content of lactic acid(LA)was significantly higher than that of CK(P<0.05).The content of ammonia nitrogen(NH3-N)in all additive treatment groups except T2 was significantly lower than that of CK(P<0.05).The dry matter(DM)content of T1 and T4 was significantly lower than that of CK(P<0.05).The crude protein(CP)content of T2 and T3 was significantly higher than that of CK(P<0.05).The content of neutral detergent fiber(NDF)in T2 and T4 was significantly lower than that in CK(P<0.05).The crude ash content(Ash)content of T1 and T2 was significantly lower than that of CK(P<0.05).The crude fat(EE)content of T3 was significantly higher than that of CK(P<0.05).The aerobic stabilization time of each additive treatment group was significantly lower than that of CK(P<0.05).The results of fuzzy membership function showed that the D value of corn straw treated with cellulase was the highest. The study indicates that the treatment of various additives can improve the quality of corn straw silage, and the silage quality of cellulase treatment was the best, followed by the treatment of Lactobacillus plantarum.
