Application of compound Chinese herbal feed additives in aquaculture
Chinese herbal medicine has the advantages of abundant nutrients and bioactive components,less drug residues,natural pollution-free,and friendly to water environment,so it has become a new green feed additive in aquaculture industry.The application of Chinese herbal medicine and its compound additives can improve the growth and development speed,feed utilization rate and digestion and absorption ability of aquatic animals,enhance the ability of disease resistance,antibacterial and anti-stress of aquatic animals,and improve muscle flavor and nutritional value.The paper summarizes the physicochemical properties and biological functions of active components and nutrients of Chinese herbal medicines,and shows the biological characteristics of compound Chinese herbal medicine additives in aquaculture of fish,shrimp,crab,and other aquatic animals,aiming at providing references for the research and development of compound Chinese herbal additives and their further application in aquaculture.
