Measurement and influencing factors of high-quality development level of Chinese beef cattle industry
The high-quality development of the beef cattle industry is the fundamental way to stabilize beef cattle production,alleviate fluctuations in beef cattle prices,and ensure market supply for beef cattle.The article is based on panel data from 30 provinces and cities from 2012 to 2022,using the entropy method to analyze the level of high-quality development of the beef cattle industry,and using a bidirectional fixed effect model to explore the influencing factors of high-quality development of Chinese beef cattle industry.The study found that during the research period,the overall high-quality development level of Chinese beef cattle industry showed a slow fluctuation and upward trend.The high-quality development of Chinese beef cattle industry mainly benefits from the improvement of quality,safety,and technological level.The highest level of high-quality development of the beef industry in the four major beef cattle production areas is in the central plains beef cattle area,followed by the northeast beef cattle area,followed by the southwest beef cattle area and the northwest beef cattle area.The level of economic development,marketization,transportation conditions,urbanization rate,and environmental regulations can significantly promote the high-quality development of Chinese beef cattle industry.Therefore,we should enhance the innovation level of beef cattle breeding technology,strengthen the quality and safety of beef cattle products,improve the coordination mechanism of beef cattle breeding regions,and provide a reference for accelerating the construction of a new pattern of high-quality development of the beef cattle industry.
