Comparison of production performance and nutritional quality of different forage varieties in Southwest Guizhou
The aim of the experiment was to screen the forage varieties suitable for cultivation in the Southwest Guizhou.The growth performance,nutritional quality and relative feed value of twelve forage were compared using a field experiment in the same growth period,and their comprehensive performance data were quantitatively evaluated using entropy weight method TOPSIS analysis.The results showed that the twelve forage can complete the whole growth period in Southwest Guizhou,showing good adaptability.The plant heigh and fresh yield of Prada were the highest at 517.24 cm and 123.95 t/hm2,followed by Lüjuren,3701 and Hercules.Burning golem,WL656HQ and Foreground had the higher of dry to fresh ratio and leaf to stem ratio.The crude protein of Burning golem,Foreground,WL712,WL656HQ and Prada were the higher ranged from 19.13%DM to 24.63%DM.The ether extract of Fengtian was the highest at 3.36%DM.The crude ash of WL656HQ was the highest at 9.52%DM.Quchen NO.9,Gui silage No.5 and Xingnongdan 1505 had the lower crude fiber.Quchen NO.9 had the lowest acidic lignin,acid detergent fiber and neutral detergent fiber,meanwhile these relative feeding value was the highest.The study indicates that the comprehensive performance of Prada,L üjuren,WL656HQ and WL712 are better than others,which can be used as the main variety of cultivation in Southwest Guizhou.
