Nutritional characteristics of rice and its application in poultry production
The cultivation of rice in China covers a vast area and yields a substantial harvest,making it an important cereal crop and a high-quality energy feed.Rice is rich in nutrients such as carbohydrates,proteins,fats,vitamins,and minerals.Even after aging,rice retains high nutritional value and can be combined with other feed materials to form a balanced feed formula,providing poultry with the necessary nutrients for growth.Rice is relatively inexpensive,and replacing part of the energy feed such as corn with rice in the basic diet can not only improve the production efficiency of poultry but also promote the efficient use of resources and drive the sustainable development of animal husbandry.In recent years,the application of rice and aged rice in poultry production has become more and more extensive.The article reviews the characteristics of high-quality protein,starch,and minerals in rice and aged rice,summarizes their effects on the growth performance,egg-laying performance,slaughter performance,and blood biochemical indicators of poultry,aiming to provide a reference for the application of rice and aged rice in poultry feed.
