With the three major advantages of reducing feed costs and protein feed usage,improving feed utilization efficiency,and reducing environmental pollution,low-protein diet technology has a very broad application prospect.The application of low-protein diets in the production of laying hens has become a research hotspot,but the research results are not consistent.This article reviews the effects of low-protein diets on the production performance,egg quality,and nitrogen excretion of laying hens,as well as the key factors affecting the application effect of low-protein diets,providing a reference for the promotion and application of low-protein diet technology in the production of laying hens.
