Effects of silage corn mixed pellet diet on growth performance, slaughter traits, viscera indexes, and biochemical indexes of Zi geese
The experiment aimed to study the effects of silage corn mixed pellet diet on the growth performance, slaughter traits, viscera indexes, and serum biochemical indexes of Zi geese.A total of 60 Zi geese at 28 days of age were randomly divided into two groups with three replicates in each group and 10 Zi geese in each replicate.Zi geese in the control group was fed a basal diet, while in silage group was fed the silage corn mixed pellet diet, with the experimental period of 42 days. The results showed that there was no significant difference in growth performance and viscera indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with control group,Zi geese in the silage group semi-eviscerated rate significantly increased by 3.57%,and serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase activity significantly decreased by 41.44%(P<0.05).The study indicates that feeding silage corn mixed pellet diet in the Zi goose breeding period has no negative effects on growth and development, and is conducive to improving slaughter traits.
