Research on adaptive cultivation of Cenchrus fungigraminus at high altitude in Daofu County,Ganzi Prefecture
The experiment aimd to investigate the adaptability of Cenchrus fungigraminus cultivation in high-altitude areas of Ganzi Prefecture. The research conducted an introduction trial of Cenchrus fungigraminus at an altitude of 3 400 m in Seca Village,Daofu County,Ganzi Prefecture.Four 10 m x 10 m plots were established within the experimental site as sample plots, with different planting densities of 400(D1),300(D2),200(D3),and 100 plants/100 m2(D4).The first determination of agronomic traits was conducted 3 weeks after the planting of Cenchrus fungigraminus, and subsequent measurements were taken every 15 days throughout the experiment. The results showed that the plant height and leaf length of Cenchrus fungigraminus increased with increasing density. The D1 group had higher plant height and leaf length, while the D2 group had wider leaves and higher yield. The D4 group had more tillers. The study indicates that in Daofu County, the survival rate of the introduced giant fungus grass is high and it has good adaptability.Over-dense planting restricts the photosynthetic efficiency of individual Cenchrus fungigraminus plants, reducing the yield of giant fescue.A planting density of 300 plants/100 m2 can ensure the good growth and yield of Cenchrus fungigraminus in high-altitude areas.
