Differential analysis of agronomic traits, leaf area index, quality, and yield of six silage corn varieties
The experiment utilized six varieties of silage corn as materials and employed a small-plot trial to investigate and analyze the differences in traits, leaf area index, quality, and yield among the different varieties in Yuanzhou District,Guyuan City,Ningxia. The results indicated that there were no significant differences in plant height among the varieties(P>0.05),with Deyu Feng 568 having the highest ear height, and the highest stem diameter, stem fresh weight, fresh weight of maize ear, fresh weight of maize tassel and leaf area index were found in Huayi 1204.The average fresh forage yield of the varieties showed no significant differences(P>0.05),with Deyu Feng 568 leading in yield at 85.36 t/hm2.The dry matter content among the varieties was not significantly different(P>0.05),with Kehe 699 having the highest levels of neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, crude protein, and dry matter content,at 45.44%,36.54%,10.19%,and 40.75%,respectively.There were no significant differences in acid detergent fiber content among Ningdan 40,Zhongxing 619,and Zhongxing 618 varieties(P>0.05).The study indicates that Ningdan 40 and Deyu Feng 568 can be considered as main grain and feed silage varieties in this area.
