Study on crystal structure of a novel serine zinc chelate
The research aimed to obtain a novel serine zinc chelate.A new type of serine zinc crystal was synthesized by adjusting the molar ratio of raw materials, reaction temperature, and reaction time. The synthesized serine zinc chelate was qualitatively and quantitatively studied using instruments such as X-ray single crystal diffractometer,X-ray powder diffractometer, infrared spectrometer, and elemental analyzer. The results showed that serine zinc was a 2∶1 type with a chemical formula of(C3H6NO3)2Zn,and the crystal was a monoclinic system with space group P21.The lattice parameters were a=5.643 6(14)Å,b=8.822(2)Å,c=9.499(2)Å,α=90°,β=96.664(4)°,γ=90°,Z=2,and V=469.74(19)Å3.Zinc coordinates with nitrogen and oxygen in serine to form a five-membered chelating ring with five coordination positions, and there were strong hydrogen bonds between molecules and molecules. The study indicates that the preparation method of this chelate compound is simple, with high zinc content, novel product structure, and high yield, providing a new idea for the production of high content organic trace element chelated zinc in the feed industry.
