Screening of replanted silage maize varieties in the wind-blown sand area of Hotan
The experiment aimed to screen the silage corn varieties suitable for replanting in Minfeng County,Hotan.Six silage maize varieties were selected to measure the agronomic traits,production performance and nutritional quality,and the principal component analysis was used for comprehensive evaluation.The results showed that the plant height and stem diameter of Xinyu 80 were significantly higher than those of other cultivars,and the stem diameter was significantly greater than that of other cultivars(P<0.05).The panicle height of Xinyu 68 was significantly higher than that of other varieties(P<0.05).Xinyu 104 had the highest fresh yield and hay yield,which were 72.79 t/hm2 and 23.02 t/hm2,respectively.The variety with the lowest content of neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber was Xinyu 68,which was 43.22%and 13.98%,respectively.The starch content varied in the range of 23.94%~26.60%,and the content of Lihe 328 was the highest,which was significantly higher than that of Xinyu 102(P<0.05).The content of soluble carbohydrates varied in the range of 7.49%~11.65%,and the content of Xinyu 68 was the highest,which was significantly higher than that of Lihe 328,Xinyu 102 and Xinyu 104(P<0.05).The crude protein content varied in the range of 7.75%~9.54%,and the content of Xinyu 106 was the highest,which was significantly higher than that of Lihe 328 and Xinyu 102(P<0.05).The crude fat content of Xinyu 80 was significantly higher than that of other varieties(P<0.05).The crude ash content of Xinyu 104 was significantly higher than that of other varieties(P<0.05).Principal component analysis indicated that Xinyu 80 was the best among the six silage maize varieties,with a comprehensive score of 0.67.The study suggests that Xinyu 80 can be considered the most suitable variety for replanting silage corn in Minfeng County and has potential for promotion.
