Research progress on effect of low-protein diet on intestinal microbes in pigs
The shortage of protein resources restricts the sustainable development of animal husbandry, and low-protein diet technology can alleviate the tight supply of protein feed resources.Under the premise of ensuring the normal physiological functions of pigs,it is possible to reduce the proportion of feed protein raw materials as much as possible, and improving the utilization rate of feed,so as to promote the green and sustainable development of animal husbandry. The composition and diversity of intestinal microbes are crucial for maintaining the homeostasis of the host intestinal environment, and dietary protein level is an important factor affecting the intestinal microbes of pigs. The article reviews the concept, formulation requirements and advantages of low-protein diets, and the research progress on the effects of low-protein diets on the intestinal microbes of pigs at different growth stages is reviewed, aiming to clarify the importance of low-protein diets in pig production and to provide a reference for healthy pig breeding.
