Research progress of application of Artemisia argyi and its extracts in animal production
With the continuous development of healthy farming,natural plants and their extracts are increasingly used as new feed additives.Artemisia argyi is a perennial herb belonging to the Asteraceae family and the Artemisia genus.It is rich in nutrients such as protein,fat,essential amino acids,essential fatty acids,minerals,vitamins,and edible fiber.Additionally,Artemisia argyi contains volatile oils,flavonoids,and polysaccharides,which are biologically active compounds.Artemisia argyi products can be used as feed protein raw materials and additives,with mosquito repellent,antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,immune regulation and other biological effects.They are a highly valuable plant material with broad application prospects in animal production.In this paper,the nutritional value of Artemisia argyi and its application in feed were reviewed,in order to provide reference for its use in animal production.
