Preparation of Zinc-aluminum Layer Double Hydrotalcites and its Application in Polyvinyl Chloride
We first prepared zinc-aluminum layer double hydrotalcites(ZnAl-LDHs)from different raw materials and characterized them using X-Ray Diffraction(XRD).Then we investigated the effects of preparation conditions on the structure of ZnAl-LDHs,which included crystallization mode,zinc-aluminum molar ratio,pH value, sodium carbonate dosage, crystallization temperature, and crystallization time. And we applied the ZnAl-LDHs made from different raw materials in polyvinyl chloride(PVC),and tested its thermal stability by both the oven aging method and conductometric method. The results showed that when prepared from ZnO,Al2(OH)nCl6-n,NaOH and Na2CO3 with n(Zn)/n(Al)=2.0,n(CO32-)/n(Al3+)=0.5,pH=9.0 and crystallization at 90℃for 10 h,the product of ZnAl-LDHs improved the initial whiteness and long-term thermal stability of PVC composites significantly.
