Industrial Application of Copolymerization of Propylene and 1-butene
The regularity of polypropylene molecular chain is broken by the general polypropylene randon copolymer(PP-R)through the introduction of ethylene monomer,as a result,the size of spherulite is reduced to realize the transparency of polymer,and thus the impact resistance of the relevant products is highly improved.However,the introduction of ethylene led to the decrease of product rigidity and the increase of n-hexane extract content,which could not meet the demand of food and medical supplies with high hygiene requirements.Meanwhile butene can effectively overcome the shortage of ethylene as a comonomer.The project developed propylene and 1-butene copolymerization technology according to the characteristics of polypropylene plant by technical transformation,process control and optimization,which have been applied in food packaging,medical and health fields.
