Synthesis of 3,3-Bis(3',5'-di-tert-butyl-4'-oxhydrylphenyl)-Methyl Propionate as Antioxidants
3,3-Bis(3',5'-di-tert-butyl-4'-oxhydrylphenyl)-methyl propionate was synthesized from 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol and methyl propiolate.The effects of the reaction time,temperature,the catalyst,the solvent,and the molar ratio of 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol to methyl propiolate to benzene were studied.The results showed that under the optimized reaction conditions,potassium carbonate as a catalyst,methylbenzene as a solvent,n(2,6-di-tert-butylphenol)∶n(methyl propiolate)∶n(methylbenzene)∶n(potassium carbonate)=2∶1.20∶0.97∶0.048,reaction temperature of 95 ℃ and reaction time of 10 hrs.,the yield of product was up to 96.93%.
