P2Y receptors(P2YRs)are members of the purinergic receptors family and belong to the G-protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs),which are widely expressed in various cells of the body.It is closely related to occurrence of many major diseases and shows great potential as drug targets.This review introduces the classification,structural characteristics,and signal transduction mechanism of the P2YRs.Starting from the pharmacological activity of the P2YRs,we focus on the research progress of existing ligands and potential drug targets of the P2YRs,in order to provide new ideas for the research and development of related clinical drug.
