Bcl-2-associated athanogene 2(BAG2),a member of the BAG gene family,is distinguished by a novel HSP70 nucleotide exchange factor domain, referred to as the"BNB"domain, which mediates apoptosis, tumor growth, neuronal differentiation, and stress response via multiple mechanisms.By interacting with relevant signaling molecules in the tumor microenvironment,BAG2 has recently been shown to play a crucial role in the development of a variety of malignancies. This paper focuses on the structure and function of BAG2 as well as its role and mechanism in colorectal cancer, glioma, gastric cancer,T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, oral cancer, esophageal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, lung cancer, breast cancer. Moreover,it provides an outlook on the potential of BAG2 in diagnosing and treating various malignancies.
