Expression pattern of key genes in brain glioma and its prognostic analysis
Brain glioma is easy to recur and has poor prognosis. Its molecular mechanism has not been clearly clarified.Based on the GSE4290 and GSE50161 data sets in the GEO database, this study compared the gene expression differences between brain glioma and normal brain tissue using the analysis tools such as GEO2R and bioinformatics, and conducted GO enrichment analysis and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis on the screened differentially expressed genes and the construction of protein interaction network.Based on the protein interaction network, the top 10 key genes were selected, and the relationship between the expression of key genes and the survival of glioma patients was obtained through the LOGpc database.Kaplan Meier analysis results showed that low expression of KCNJ9 suggested poor prognosis in patients with glioma.GEPIA database showed that the expression of KCNJ9 was related to the degree of malignancy of tumor. The expression of KCNJ9 was found to be positively correlated with the infiltration of immune cells through Timer database.KCNJ9 can be used as a predictive gene for the development and prognosis of brain glioma. This study provides a new idea for the prognosis and treatment of brain glioma based on bioinformatics analysis.
