Research progress and detection methods of reactive oxygen species in embryo and germ cells
In recent years,Chinaʼs population growth rate has slowed down significantly, and the problem of modern fertility quality has become increasingly prominent. The decrease of the new population will bring great challenges to the sustainable development of society,at the same time, the infertility prevalence rate in our country is also high. One of the important factors that cause abnormal changes in reproductive system is the increase of reactive oxygen species(ROS),which leads to oxidative stress in the body, resulting in damage to the reproductive system.Abnormal increase of ROS will lead to embryo development arrest, abnormal sperm morphology, oocyte apoptosis, etc.,which ultimately affects reproductive health.Through detection,it can be clear whether the ROS content is abnormal,so as to achieve early prevention and intervention, which is more helpful to protect reproductive health. This paper intends to summarize and analyze the adverse effects of abnormal ROS production on germ cells and the technical means for detecting and removing abnormal ROS,aiming to provide relevant theoretical basis for protecting human reproductive health.
