On the Teacher-student Interaction in Academy Education in the Late Qing Dynasty:An Investigation Centered on Xie Zhangting
The teacher-student relationship in traditional Chinese educational culture is the root of enjoying teaching and loving students.Teachers'love for students is not only reflected in teaching activities,but also in daily interactions be-tween teachers and students.Due to the wide range of teaching areas,Xie Zhangling's interactions with students were repre-sentative in the late Qing Dynasty's academy education.Through the investigation of Xie Zhangting's Collection,it can be found that Xie Zhangling's interaction activities with students mainly include teaching activities,academic exchanges,daily communication,and other aspects.Xie Zhangling's teacher-student interaction activities exhibit main characteristics such as longevity,equality,and livelihood.Teachers and students still maintain contact even after leaving the academy one after an-other,including both academic exchanges and personal interactions.This inspires us to pay attention to the equal and har-monious relationship between teachers and students,the pure and sincere emotions between teachers and students,and the formation and development of the teacher-student community.
