Tumor heterogeneity greatly hinders effective and individualized tumor treatment.However,precision medicine creats new avenues for tumor treatment,and becomes a significant development model in medical oncology.Here we systematically analyze the current developments of precision oncology in 2023 and anticipate the future directions.Currently,numerous large-scale population cohorts focused on tumor-related research have been established worldwide and provide a crucial resource foundation for the implementation of precision oncology.The development of precision medicine and life omics technologies accelerates the rapid development of tumor molecular classification,precise diagnostic technologies such as genetic test,liquid biopsy,and companion diagnostic,along with advanced therapeutic approaches such as targeted drugs,immunotherapy,and RNA therapy.Furthermore,novel technologies,applications,and products are achieving breakthroughs,thereby facilitating the implementation of precision oncology.
