Research progress on Cl/H+ coupling transport mechanism in chloride channel membrane proteins
Chloride channels are one kind of ion selective transmembrane proteins.Their functions are regulating intracellular solution pH,cell volume, salt ion transport and cell excitability.According to difference of ion transport modes, chloride channel membrane proteins can be divided into chloride ion channel and Cl-/H+transporter.Among them, ionic transport process in Cl-/H+transporter shows significant coupling, and needs the participation of water molecules. In this paper,we summarize and prospect the microscopic coupling transport mechanism of Cl-/H+,which can provide theoretical basis for experimental research of chloride channels, clinical disease diagnosis and treatment and new drug development.
