Extraction and purification of sulforaphane and its research progress in wound healing
Wound healing is essential to maintain the barrier function of skin,as well as other protective properties.Antibacterial ingredients,anti-inflammatory ingredients and antioxidants are the three key ways to accelerate wound healing.Due to its antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,antioxidant characteristics,sulforaphane(SFN)has been considered as a potential drug for wound healing.Since the extraction and purification methods are simple and yields are high,SFN derived from natural plant has received widespread attention in food and medicine industries.In this review,we summarized the extraction and purification techniques of natural SFN,and systematically described potential mechanisms of SFN in wound healing,which will provide insights for biomedical research and application of SFN.
