Research progress on the association between CMKLR1 and depression
Depression,as a widespread mental health issue affecting the global population, has sparked interest among researchers in understanding its potential biological basis. In recent years, there has been a growing body of research on the roles of neurotransmitters, neural circuits, and the immune system in depression.Against this backdrop,CMKLR1(chemokine-like receptor 1)emerged as a novel research focus. It was initially thought to play a crucial role in the immune system, but recent studies suggested a potential close connection between CMKLR1 and the regulation of neuroinflammation. This review aims to delve into the potential association between CMKLR1 and depression, uncovering its possible mechanisms in the onset and development of the disorder,as well as its potential as a therapeutic target.
