Research progress on m7G methylation modification of RNA in cancer
N7-methylguanosine(m7G)methylation is a common post-transcriptional modification of RNA,usually located in mRNA,tRNA,rRNA,and miRNA,affecting the processing and metabolism of RNA molecules. It is involved in regulating various physiological and pathological functions of the human body.More and more studies have found that abnormal m7G methylation modification is related to the occurrence and development of various cancers.m7G modification is involved in regulating the expression of multiple proto-oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, thereby affecting the biological behaviors of tumor proliferation, apoptosis and invasion, and is related to tumor microenvironment and tumor drug resistance.By reviewing the biological function of m7G modification and the role of related regulatory proteins, this paper summarizes the molecular mechanisms of m7G modification in the occurrence and development of tumors and the latest research progress in tumor therapy, aiming to provide new ideas for the related research and the treatment of tumors.
