Current situation and development of laboratory detection of vaginal secretions
Vaginal secretion testing is a fundamental diagnostic tool for female vaginal inflammation,evaluating the presence of bacteria,trichomonas,fungi,and more to assess the vaginal flora comprehensively.This is crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of vaginal inflammation.Currently,morphological microscopy and enzyme chemistry are the primary clinical methods used to analyze vaginal secretions,with combined testing yielding higher accuracy.In recent years,the rapid advancements in immunology and molecular detection technologies,known for their high sensitivity and specificity,have provided significant scientific support for the diagnosis of vaginal inflammation.This article reviews the development of laboratory detection methods for vaginal secretions in China,aiming to in-form the diagnosis and treatment of female genital tract infections.
