Evaluation of theRole of Air Pressure Therapeutic Instrument in Relieving Edema of Lower Limbs and Preventing Deep Venous Thrombosis After Stroke
Objective:To Objective To explore the role of air pressure therapeutic apparatus in relieving edema of lower limbs and preventing deep vein thrombosis(DVT)after stroke. Methods:From January 2019 to December 2020,60 patients with lower extremity edema after stroke in Nanjing Tongren Hospital were selected and divided into observation group and control group. The observation group was treated with pneumatic therapeutic appara-tus,while the control group was not.The degree of edema of lower limbs, the incidence of DVT,hemorheological indexes and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the degree of edema of lower limbs, the incidence of DVT,blood viscosity,FIB and DD levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the scores of SF-36 items were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Air pressure therapeutic apparatus can effectively relieve edema of lower limbs after stroke, reduce the risk of DVT,improve hemorheology and improve the quality of life of pa-tients,which is worthy of clinical application.
