Application effect of new nasal high flow oxygen therapy in patients with acute respiratory failure
Objective:To explore the application effect of new nasal high flow oxygen therapy in the treatment of a-cute respiratory failure.Methods:108 patients with acute respiratory failure admitted to Jiangdu People's Hospital of Yangzhou City from January 2021 to December 2023 were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods. The control group(n=54)was treated with noninvasive positive pressure ventilation, and the research group(n=54)was treated with new nasal high-flow oxygen therapy. The clinical indexes, safety and vital signs during treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The ventilation time of the study group was shor-ter than that of the control group, and the rate of tracheotomy or intubation was lower than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen partial pressure and oxygen saturation between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the heart rate and respiratory rate of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the oxygen partial pressure and oxygen saturation were higher than those of the con-trol group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The new nasal high-flow oxygen therapy is effective in the treatment of patients with acute respiratory failure, which can effectively improve the clinical indicators,re-duce related complications and promote the recovery of vital signs.
