Comparison of the Effects of Micro-implant Anchorage and Extraoral Arch Strengthening Anchorage in Orthodontic Treatment
Objective:To compare the clinical effects of micro-implant anchorage and extraoral arch anchorage in orthodontic treatment. Methods:A retrospective analysis was made on 92 patients who underwent orthodontic treat-ment in Taixing People's Hospital from January 2018 to December 2022.They were randomly divided into two groups, the control group(46 cases)and the control group(46 cases).46 cases in the observation group were trea-ted with micro-implant anchorage. The therapeutic effect, clinical indicators, bite force and masticatory efficien-cy,and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the angle of the upper and lower alveolar seats, the inclination angle of the lower central incisors, the difference of the convex distance of the upper central incisors, the width between the canines and the molar displace-ment in the observation group were all better than those in the control group, and the bite force and chewing effi-ciency were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of mini-implant anchorage in orthodontic treatment is better than that of strengthening anchorage with extraoral arch, and the masticatory function of patients is improved more obviously with less adverse reactions.
