Accuracy And Practicability Evaluation of Percutaneous Bilirubin Meter in Neonatal Jaundice Screening
Objective:To explore the application value of percutaneous bilirubin meter in neonatal jaundice screening.Methods:196 cases of neonatal jaundice born in Children's Hospital affiliated to Zhejiang University Medical College from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the observation group.150 healthy newborns born in the hospital in the same period were taken as the healthy group. Both groups received serological tests, and the bilirubin level was detected by percutaneous bilirubin meter. The bilirubin levels in different parts of the two groups were evalua-ted,and the differences of bilirubin levels in newborns in the observation group were compared by different detection methods. Results:Compared with the healthy group, the level of bilirubin in the forehead of the observation group was higher by percutaneous bilirubin meter, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Serum bilirubin and percutane-ous bilirubin meter were used to detect the bilirubin level in the observation group at different time after birth, and there was no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:The application value of percutaneous bilirubin meter in neonatal jaundice screening is high, which can effectively interpret the changes of bilirubin level in children, and the results are consistent with those of serum bilirubin detection, which can provide basis for the diagnosis of neonatal jaundice and the subsequent monitoring of jaundice regression.
