Objective:To observe and analyze the clinical value of comprehensive nursing intervention in perioperative nurs-ing care of cataract patients with diabetes mellitus.Methods:120 cases of cataract complicated with diabetes mellitus admit-ted to our department from January 2020 to May 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received comprehen-sive nursing intervention. The intervention effect, psychological state, postoperative complications and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results:Before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in self-rating depression scale(SDS)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)(P>).05).After the intervention, the two scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in the blood sugar level between the two groups before the intervention(P>0.05).The levels of 2hPG and FBG in the observation group were lower than those in the control group 2 hours after the intervention, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the ob-servation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the scores of SF-36 items in the observation group were higher after the intervention, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Comprehensive nursing intervention is not only used for cataract patients with diabetes.
