Effect ofBundle Nursing on Preventing VAP in Patients with Mechanical Ventilation in ICU
Objective:To observe and analyze the effect of cluster nursing on ventilator associated pneumonia(VAP)in ICU with mechanical ventilation during hospitalization.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 87 cases of mechani-cal ventilation in our ICU from January to December 2023 was made.The clinical data,VAP and blood gas analysis were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared with the control group,the duration of mechanical ven-tilation,the length of ICU stay and the total length of hospital stay in the experimental group were shorter(P＜0.05).After nursing,compared with the control group,the patients in the test group had higher SaO2,PaO2 and lower PaCO 2(P＜0.05).Compared with the control group,the incidence of VAP in the experimental group was significantly lower(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Cluster nursing can effectively shorten the duration of mechanical ven-tilation and hospital stay,promote blood gas analysis index to return to normal,and reduce VAP.
