Clinical Analysis of Total Crown Prosthesis Combined with Root Canal in Treatment of Dental Fissure with Chronic pulpitis
Objective:To explore and analyze the clinical effect of crown restoration combined with root canal therapy in cracked teeth with chronic pulpitis. Methods:From February 2022 to April 2024,70 cases of cracked teeth with chron-ic pulpitis were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group according to odd and even numbers, with 35 cases in each group. The control group received root canal therapy, and the observation group re-ceived crown restoration combined with root canal therapy. The patients were followed up for 6 months after opera-tion,and the clinical efficacy、masticatory function and bite force were compared. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group(97.14%)was higher than that in the control group(82.86%),P<0.05.Compared with before operation,6 months after operation, the masticatory function, the maximum occlusal contact surface and the maximum occlusal force in both groups increased, while the asymmetry index of occlusal force decreased. The mastica-tory function、the maximum occlusal contact surface and the maximum occlusal force in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the asymmetry index of occlusal force was lower than that in the control group,P<0.05.Conclusion:Crown restoration combined with root canal therapy is effective in the treatment of cracked teeth with chronic pulpitis, which can improve the masticatory function and enhance the bite force.
